After all these years, we finally tried this place. We're not big on fish and chips. We usually only eat fish during Lent. We were in the area and decided to go here for lunch. When you walk in, it's not that big but so many pictures to look at. It has a very welcoming and homey vibe. You can tell, there's a whole lot of history here.I was greeted and helped right away. Georgia was super nice and helped me narrow down my order, but I still got a sample of everything they had to offer. She was super patient with me and friendly. She seemed like she enjoyed working here.I ordered:. The camelot - This was the perfect sampler. I've never tried fried oysters or scallops before. The fish was light and flaky. Surprisingly, the oysters and scallops didn't lose their flavor with the batter. You can taste the flavor of each item. It didn't taste like they were all the same thing since it was fried. The chips were thick and crunchy.. Krabbycakes and onion rings - This is not your standard crab cake. It was light and flavorful. The onion rings were amazing as well, super crunchy.. Deep fried twinkies - This was amazing. It's to eat it right away.. Cock & bull ginger beer & root beer - both were perfect and complimented thr food. This place was delicious. I had told Georgia I was looking for bread or something to absorb all the greasiness. Surprisingly, I don't think you need it. The food was all fried but didn't make me feel like it was too much. Usually with fried foods, you feel like you need tea or something to help digest or help with that heavy feeling. Here it was not the case, it was perfect. I felt like I could eat so much more. Maybe this is why they've been around for years or more. The food was amazing, the service was above and beyond. I will definitely be back

Chips were delicious, crispy exterior fluffy on the inside. Not quite like chips I had in the UK. Probably cause different starch content from potatoes.Fish was alright, fresh cod. Batter was a bit greasy for my tastes. Most of the fish I had in the UK came out thick and long like a baby’s forearm. Here I got medium sized flat pieces.Nothing stood out from the scallops other than them tasting fresh. hint of the sea.I heard angels singing when I had their tartar sauce. I will ask for extra on my next visit.

Fish and chips at Camelot Fish and Chips.Fish was tasty and good. Chips were a little soggy, but not bad. Overall satisfying and delicious. No worthy beer available. Just some Stella. Nothing else available on tap or in containers this visit.Always great to head down the block for a great sunset on the bluff above the beach.
